Notes
Pre-race decisions:
- Upgraded Q2 Hamilton from 4th–10th → Podium after R1 P4 result and Ferrari’s Shanghai pace expectation — paid off (15pts)
- Moved Q9 classified finishers to 18 from 17 — attrition was even worse than expected (<16 classified), missed either way
- Kept 2× on Q1 podium — Russell and Antonelli near-certainties, Hamilton added at 12pts for value
Result:
- Antonelli took his first GP win — P1/P2 swapped vs our pick but both Mercedes in top-3 meant partial credit
- Hamilton P3 was an exact position hit, doubling to 24pts — the Hamilton call was the key value driver
- 2× delivered 74pts from Q1, the backbone of our score
- Antonelli dominated the whole weekend — pole, sprint win, race win, fastest lap — a sign of things to come
- Q9 was brutal again: <16 classified finishers for the second race running, new regs causing heavy attrition
- Lawson beat Lindblad in the sprint (Q3 miss), Sainz beat Albon in qualifying (Q5 miss), Ferrari took fastest stop (Q7 miss)
- SC/VSC in first 10 laps correctly called YES — 10pts banked
Season running total after R2: 196 points | Avg accuracy: 25%
